make a bullet hell mobile game
Project overview
The mobile prototype was a 2D bullet hell with a twist of reverse rhythm, with a guitar hero game your intention is to hit the beats, my twist is the beats spawn the things you want to avoid. Theme is spaceships and asteroids, pixel art, music genre “Jump up” a sub-genre of Drum and bass it has qualities like predictable timing and sharp synthetic beats.
Mechanics
The timer
Located in the level Blueprint it is responsible for starting Timer by functions on loop, with a sequence of picked Spawners to spawn asteroids from.
Spawners
Some differ to others, one lerps a billboard back and forth another has three billboards and rotates but all are controlled by the timer and all billboards are potential spots for an asteroid to spawn.
